| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil Order - Loss of water pressure DETAILS: I initially was contacted by Jim on 7/14 at around noon that Corbett had an emergency water main repair on E. Historic Columbia River Highway from Little Page to District office. The 10 inch main cracked because of poor bedding material originally placed under the pipe providing little protection from sandstone. District notified of break at 630 am on 7/14, and called all affected users to notify them of a boil water notice as the area was out of water. By 10 am on 7/14 had pipe replaced with better bedding material and stronger pipe. Area was flushed out and chlorine residual increased to 1.2 mg/L. Routine bacti result taken at 267 Grange Hall Rd on 7/14 returned coliform absent on 7/15 at around noon. I indicated that the District could lift the boil notice. District website to be updated to reflect that problem address and boil order lifted. ACTION NEEDED: DWP to continue to support District in any future loss of water pressure events. DWP referenced BMP for Service Outages due to Reduced Pressure Events. | ||
