| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up to well source contamination DETAILS: I followed up on E. Coli positive well sample taken on 7/14 that was received Friday at 4:45 pm by DWP. After not being able to reach Region 2 staff or Lane County Environmental Health staff, I called and spoke with Randy about the next steps. Randy indicated he had already spoken to Lane Co. and had been instructed to take 5 confirmation samples right away to determine appropriate corrective action. He indicated a 7/14 distribution sample had returned coliform absent. I asked why chlorine residual is not detected, and Randy indicated that they are having problems with the chlorine pump and are getting their contractor, Culligan to come out ASAP. He also indicated that he is boosting the chlorine level to increase their residual level. ACTION NEEDED: DWP to consult on 7/18 with Lane Co. and determine appropriate next steps. | ||
