| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate alert follow up DETAILS: Follow up for a 7.31 mg/l result on 6/2/11. Called owner Dan and discussed high result. System has always had high nitrates (between 5-7 mg/L) and has done quarterly sampling 3 times and always R & C below MCL. Dan suggested some of the elevated nitrates may be from a horse boarding facility 1/4 mile south. This possible point source should be looked at if results ever over 10 ACTION NEEDED: Continued annual monitoring and experiment with time of year sampling. Investigate horse facility as possible point source. | ||
