Details: | I spoke with Robert Trotter with McNulty Water PUD on what their steps are to mitigate the Arsenic MCL results. Robert says the ASR - aquifer storage and recovery zone's daily pumping schedule was reduced from 3 pump cycles a day to 2 cycles a day. He also says that Millard Well #2 is online to supplement the Blaha Wells. The Blaha Reservoirs, according to Robert, used to be at 40% of the capacity output for the system, and now they provide more than 50% of the capacity output. Robert says that the Blaha Reservoir feeds the system the majority of the day. Robert says the report that is being provided to customers explains this ratio and how the Blaha wells feed into the Robinette Reservoir to dilute the water's arsenic concentration far below the MCL, before that water is served to the customers. |
