Details:	SUMMARY: Arsenic Removal DETAILS: The Canby School District operates a small water system serving the Ninety-One Elementary School. System has a primary well that feeds the distribution system which provides drinking water to approximately 455 students and staff. The system is composed of a primary well and an emergency well that feeds the distribution system. In 2001, the EPA lowered the Maximum Contaminate Limit (MCL) on arsenic from 0.050 mgl to 0.010 mgl (compliance was required by 2006). The most recent test of the raw water reported 0.017 mgl. I coordinated with school and treatment plant manufacturer regarding recommendations for co-precipitation/filtration of arsenic. I finalized report recommending co-precipitation/filtration and met with school district personnel to recommend next steps to achieve compliance. ACTION NEEDED: None needed at this time.
