Details: SUMMARY: Arsenic and Uranium Removal DETAILS: River Village MHP operates a small water system that serves 28 people through 19 connections. The system is composed of a 165’ deep well and 3 hp constant speed pump. Water is fed into the laundry building where two 80 gallon pressure tanks feed into to the distribution system. A water meter was recently installed after the pressure tanks. Recently the EPA lowered the Maximum Contaminate Limit (MCL) on arsenic to 0.010 mgl. The most recent test has shown arsenic levels to be as high as 0.016 mgl. EPA has also set a MCL of Uranium of 0.03 mgl and levels have been recorded as high as 0.056 mgl. HBH investigated issues with discharge and disposal of Uranium. ACTION NEEDED: Waiting for test results.
