| Details: | SUMMARY: Chlorinator Installation Assistance DETAILS: The system supply drinking water to approximately 200 people in a small rural water system. The water source is two springs. Water flows from the springs to a reservoir. The water system experienced some coliform positives. In response, the water system is seeking to install a permanent tablet chlorination system. Mr Billingsley contacted HBH with questions regarding plan review and NSF approved chlorination systems. As this system was experienced e coli positives, the chlorination system would be required to comply with the Ground Water rule (GWR). As treatment, full plan review would be required. Contact information for Marsha Fox was provided. Subsequent contact was made regarding the need for an NSF-approved chlorinator. HBH discussed possibility if changing from a tablet feeder for the disinfection to a solar powered system and a more standard sodium hypo dosing pump feed. HBH provided preliminary sizing recommendations for dosing pump. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to provide advice to Mr Billingsley as requested. | ||
