| Details: | SUMMARY: nitrate treatment DETAILS: The water system has nitrate treatment installed. There has been some inaction by the water system to ensure the treatment has been effectively working. I spoke with Glendoris on 8/1 and a letter was sent on 8/11 detailing the monthly nitrate sample requirement through 2012. They are also required to develop an operations and maintenance manual that addresses the upkeep of the treatment unit. This manual is due by the end of 2011 and is to be reviewed by the Malheur County Environmental Health Staff. A field visit was also made on 8/24 by DWP. A nitrate sample had been collected in August and the system needs one more in Sept. Glendoris had received the letter and understood what was being asked of them. ACTION NEEDED: Take nitrate sample in September and develop an Operations and Maintenance Manual by the end of 2011. Continue monthly nitrate sampling during the operating period in 2012. | ||
