| Details: | SUMMARY: EC+ in Well #2 TC+ in Well #1 and review of monthly assessment monitoring results DETAILS: Spring Well #2 has confirmed e.coli results. Spring Well #1 is in very close proximity and has a history of total coliform results. Water Resources Dept has established that both wells are hydraulically connected. A review of well construction and aquifer characteristics suggests that well reconstruction is not likely to eliminate the e.coli and or viral contamination (see Source Water Assessment file for details). A review of monthly source assessment monitoring results on file with DWP show that Spring Well #1 and Spring Well #2 have completed the required monitoring due to the confirmed presence of e.coli. However, SRC-CA (Deep Well #3) only has sample results for May through Dec 2010 and therefore monthly samples are required for Jan through April 2012. SRC-BB (Pruitt #6) has sample results for July & Aug 2010 and therefore monthly samples are required for Sept 2011 through June 2012. ACTION NEEDED: Water system needs to address e.coli contamination of Spring Wells and continue monthly source assessment monitoring for Deep Well #3 and Pruitt Well #6 as described above. | ||
