| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussed follow-up for coliform presence in August DETAILS: Katie called to find out what the system needed to do in regards to sample results showing the presence of total coliform bacteria in August 2011. During the discussion it appears that an operator with the first name of Dan has shock-chlorinated (and presumably flushed) the water system. Follow-up samples will be collected in the next week or so. It is unclear whether the exact source of the coliform was determined. The system received instructions about posting public notice from Katrinka Danielson. I told Katie that I didnt think anything else was necessary at this point until the September sample results were returned. I did mention that the source water sample collected on August 17 was labeled as a repeat instead of triggered, and that this will result in a violation, so the system should call Delta Environmental if they wish to avoid that. Otherwise, I mentioned that the system will be receiving a violation postcard for the MCL exceedance, but that staff doesnt need to take any specific action at this point. ACTION NEEDED: Take the appropriate action based upon the results of September coliform sampling. | ||
