| Details: | Spoke to Jamie about tetrachlorethylene (PCE) and trichloroethylene (TCE)detects at entry point for wells #2,3, &5, in September 2020. The samples were well below the MCLs, but above detection limit. City will collect raw water samples and treatment process samples within the aeration towers and clearwell, to try and troubleshoot the source of the detects. City also will look at age of treatment media to see if it needs to be changed out. City required to conduct the following as follow up: -collect PCE and TCE samples from entry point for EP-A quarterly beginning with 4th quarter 2020 -DWS to review after 2 quarters to see if reliably and consistently below MCLs -If so, can reduce to once sample annually for each at entry point. -Can reduce to every 3 year sampling if three annual rounds below MCLs and obtain a waiver from DWS -Any extra sampling conducted by City at entry point for VOCs, must be submitted to DWS for compliance determination. |
