| Details: | SUMMARY: New Well/Reconstruction of Existing Well Assistance DETAILS: System operates a small system that serves approximately 50 people trough 18 connections. Water from the well is chlorinated then pumped to a 6,000 gallon storage tank. From there water is re-pressurized and distributed throughout the system. System has had positive coliform result from their source water monitored per the EPA standards. The samples also tested positive for e-coli. The EPA Ground Water Rule (GWR) mandated that corrective actions are taken to either fix the source of the problem, or provide for 4-log treatment of the viruses that would be associated with positive e-coli results. System had originally contacted HBH to provide assistance with compliance with GWR. Recommendations were made that detailed how system could comply with the GWR. HBH coordinated with Karrie Thompson regarding rehab of the existing well in regards to required setbacks from septic tanks and drain fields. ACTION NEEDED: Assist system as needed. | ||
