Assistance Type:	OTHER REGULATORY - Iron removal filtration system on auto mode

Details:	10.23.20 - The iron removal filtration system was repaired and restarted operation on auto mode. Iron and manganese samples collected post filtration and after system had started on auto mode showed considerable reduction in levels of iron and manganese. Operator stated that returning to auto mode caused the water to clear up. Operator thinks that the backwash cycle may have not been performed correctly in manual mode. There is also a drain at the bottom of the sand filter tank that is triggered by auto mode which may have not being done in manual mode. Due to the age of the filter media the operator is working with the manufacturer to get it replaced.
