Details: | SUMMARY: Owner called to assess the impact of a missed sample upon re-activation DETAILS: Margie Layton called to find out if a coliform sample missed for the 2nd quarter of 2011 would impact the reactivation of the system. The most recent sample we have on data on-line is from March 1, 2011 and the system has been closed and inactive since June 30, 2011. I explained that since the system was inactive, any new sampling completed while inactive will not appear on-line, since it is not considered representative of water served to the public. When the system re-opens, sampling would have to resume as an active system, but the violation records restarts as a "clean slate"- the historical violations do not carry over. I explained that since we do not enter test results into our database while the system is inactive, she should retain copies of all test records for the new owner or operator. ACTION NEEDED: No futher action needed. Margie to retain records of sampling completed while inactive for new owner or operator. |
