| Details: | SUMMARY: OERS Report: Truck in N Santiam DETAILS: Monday 10/3/11, 7pm, OSP-NCC reported a vehicle in the North Santiam River submerged and movingly rapidly downstream. Currently Marion Co and Army Core of Engineers are responding to this incident. Marion Co SO stated that current conditions are too dangerous for retrieval and they will coordinate tomorrow morning with the Army Core of Engineers. Tuesday 10/4/11 Greg from Gates called to notify me of the incident. I called OERS to inquire about the incident-- they knew about it but failed to notify us. They emailed me the report #2011-2459. Wednesday 10/5/11 I spoke with Gates-- they said the truck was still in the water and no one wanted to take responsibility for removing it. Since the truck was still in the water, I notified the other systems with intakes on the N Santiam river (Salem, Lyons, Jefferson, Stayton). ACTION NEEDED: Need to follow up with OERS and find out why we were not notified. | ||
