| Details: | 11.02.20 - I emailed operator instructions to collect a TG sample at the wellhead and 3 RP samples, One at the site that tested positive, one within 5 connections downstream and one within 5 connections up stream from the site that tested positive for TC. The operator was also advised not to take corrective actions prior to collecting the RP and TG samples. 10.28.20 - I received notification from the operator that their UV system malfunctioned. They are currently replacing it with a new UV system. Puting the UV system back on line by the end of this month won't be possible. Given the circumstances, the operator is asking whether they should submit a sample for November or skip the sample for this month until the UV system is back on line. Because the system is still providing water to the public, the operator was adviced to collect a routine sample for this month. The operator was also reminded that their assessment sample (AS) should be collected at the wellhead, prior to treatment (UV system). Collecting an AS sample after the water has passed through UV treatment could be masking contamination issues in the source. |
