| Details: | SUMMARY: Uranium Alert Response DETAILS: Spoke with Walt. He received the Oct. 14 notice of non-compliance letter. Reviewed sampling results and requirements. Third quarter samples were collected 9/21 for arsenic and uranium, but the results were not reported to DWP until today, so there is a late reporting violation for the third quarter. The 9/21 uranium result was 31ppb, which is over the MCL of 30 ppb, however the running annual average is still under the MCL, so there is no MCL violation. Walt is looking into drilling a new, shallow well. Arsenic and uranium samples were collected from his neighbors shallow well, and they met the MCLs. ACTION NEEDED: PWS to continue quarterly uranium and arsenic monitoring, evaluate plans for a new well. | ||
