| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: 10/12/11 Pixis Lab, mark Lead, contacted our office to report difficulty contacting the operator and to report a coliform positive at the system. It appears that state website has not been updated as per the system submitted results on 8/18/11. Jerry Branton has passed away leaving operations of the system to his wife Charlotte Branton. We gave Pixis lab Jason Furrers contact info, the reported contact person for the system. Jason contacted us to report that he no longer played an active role in the water system. We contacted Charlotte on 10/12/11 to discuss the matter. On 10/13/11, Charlotte contacted us and we informed her of the alert. Charlotte also reviewed the system sent results 8/18/11 with us during the phone call. Charlotte indicated that she was the official operator of the system. 10/14/11 we received the email alert from the state. ACTION NEEDED: Operator to collect 4 repeat samples and test for coliform within 24 hours. Due to late contact with operator, it is likely that the sampling will not occur until 10/17/11. One repeat sample shall be a raw sample at the well. In November operator shall collect 5 temporary routine samples and test for coliform. Regarding the system, the operator has submitted an acceptable verbal correction schedule to our office. They have been instructed to continue with corrections and contact us if they are unable to make all corrections by December 30, 2011 as stated in the system report. | ||
