| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform and Ecoli DETAILS: I spoke to Mr. Gebhart and he indicated he had obtained a positive lab result for coliform and ecoli on a routine distribution sample. He also had submitted an annual source sample that was absent. I spoke to Karen Kelley and she suggested having Mr. Gebhart take his confirmation samples as well as another source sample. I informed Mr. Gebhart of the conversation. This is a highly unusual situation as the system has chlorine and UV. 8.25.11 - Mr. Gebhard left a voice stating that all samples had returned negative. He said he took the sample from an unoccupied rental. He didn’t know if the possibly contaminated the collection jar by setting the lid on the bathroom counter or by mishandling. I told Mr. Gevhar in a return voice mail the that next action is to take five temporary routine distribution samples in September. No public notice or boil water notice is required. ACTION NEEDED: Work with Mr. Gebhart to determine what went wrong to insure it does not happen again. Last year at the time they system also had an unconfirmed Ecoli hit that was most likely due to a distribution pipe repairs. Wait for results of the September samples. | ||
