| Details: | SUMMARY: positive coliform DETAILS: The hand pump in the picnic area tested positive for coliform. I was notified that two repeat tests were submitted. John was on his way to shut down the hand pump for the season. He was informed that two more repeat samples would be required before it was shut down and that one of those samples should be marked as a triggered source sample. Spoke to Betsy Perry and she said this is a common occurrence with hand pumps. She stated often the samples arent taken because if the pump is shut down then the public health has been protected. John wanted to take the samples anyway so the system should not have a violation for not taking enough samples. ACTION NEEDED: Pump has been shut down. However the results of three repeat samples and a triggered source sample to be reviewed. | ||
