| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up to construction, coliform sampling from last month DETAILS: Last week, Al and Jay MacPherson (DWP) concluded that the work being done is maintenance and does not need Plan Review. Today Al called to say the construction at the spring has been completed. They have flushed and shock chlorinated the system, but it is not yet open to the public, pending the coliform test results. Al was not sure how many coliform samples to take at this point. I told him there is no fixed number for this purpose (post-construction)-- and he proposed three. He will label them "special". If they are clean, he will send the results in to the database, and restart water to the public. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of the coliform tests before sending water to their two public access points again (picnic shelter and bathrooms). Onsite resident has been notified every step of the way. Ask DMCE to waive the 5 temporary repeat samples this month (November). Change the contact person on record for this water system to Bruce Baillie (park ranger). When Als superintendent position is rehired several months from now, it might be changed back again to that person. | ||
