| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: Operator called 10/20/11 concerning the positive results of his 5 temporary routine samples. He stated he took 3 additional source samples to determine the location of the problem. On 10/21/11 Karl called to report that Spring #2 was positive for total coliforms. He will isolate this source and check the meter, manhole, cisterns, and tanks. On 10/25/11 I called the operator to check on the status of the distribution. Operator found silt and gravel in the cistern. He removed the debris and chlorinated the cistern and flushed the system. The first tank will be cleaned on Friday. Additional samples will follow adequate cleaning. ACTION NEEDED: Continue flushing and cleaning of tanks to remove sediment and debris from the distribution system | ||
