| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up for positive coliform DETAILS: Original sample taken 9/22 was taken from a faucet with an aerator on it and it was positive. There was an irrigation line break that was repaired but the water was turned off the park residences, zero pressure, out office was not notified and no boil water notice was issued. The sample taken at the same site 9/26/11 without the aerator was clean. The system was then flushed and 3 more repeat samples were taken and two were positive for coliform. ACTION NEEDED: Violation notice needed for coliform and public notice and loss of pressure are needed. The operator will contact the park residences and ask them to flush their supply line and the operator to flush the distribution system and then retest. If this fails to clear the system, the will be required to batch chlorinate the water in the system to 2ppm for at least 24 hours and then flush and retest to see if that helped clear the system of the problem. | ||
