| Details: | SUMMARY: Assessment sampling of unconfined well with UV treatment and nearby septic field DETAILS: The 1996 well could produce innocuous total coliforms due to bore hole water storage, or pathogenic E. coli due to unconfined aquifer and a nearby fecal source - a septic drainfield within 50 feet. The WS also treats with an unvalidate-able Hallet UV unit. ACTION NEEDED: WS will begin monthly Assessment sampling at the wellhead. WS will measure the distance from the well to septic drainfield. WS will submit information on the Hallet UV unit. DWP will await and evaluate Assessment results. DWP will address the significant deficiency of the lack of sanitary setback. Easiest outcome: monthly sourcewater coliform sampling forever, if they always come back negative. |
