| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up on DBP TTHM MCL exceedence DETAILS: Discussed with Jim the 12/7/11 follow up TTHM and HAA5 sample set that was taken after returning chlorine dosages to normal residual levels since the Sept 2011 samples TTHM exceeded the MCL. System has returned 1st user chlorine residual levels to 0.6-0.7 mg/L, down from 1 mg/L- which were targetted over the summer, and the TTHM and HAA5 values are 0.030 mg/L and 0.0146 mgL respectively. Discussed that earlier sample not representative of normal, historical chlorination practices, and DBP results reflect that. ACTION NEEDED: System to stay on annual TTHM and HAA5 sampling during the summer., with next due summer 2012. System to manage chlorine levels to meet CTs required and watch DBP levels in the future. DWP to provide support and document rationale for continued annual monitoring with summary table in water treatment plant letter being drafted after 12/14/11 site visit at plant. | ||
