| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform alert DETAILS: Mr. McCullough called to update me on progress of resample. He stated that pinhole leaks had been discovered in the ancient steel storage tank that is buried in the ground and that water was leaking back into the tank from the surrounding media carrying silt etc. back in. He will send in a triggered source sample. The tanks will be refilled and chlorinated. Drinking water fountain had been shut off and signs placed to public not to drink the water. Hand washing and toilet use ok with chlorination. The new tank will undergo plan review and replacement as rapidly as possible. Since repeat sample fro coliform would be positive no need is seen for repeat samples at this time. ACTION NEEDED: Stay in contact and assist with plan review. | ||
