| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate sample of 2/8/12 was 17.2 ppm DETAILS: On phone duty when alert came in at 2:32 pm for NO3 MCL. Attempted to contact Bill Goss, the systems technical contact, but he wasnt in the office. Consulted with James Nusrala and Brad Daniels on systems history of elevated NO3 and administrative order for NO3. System has been consistent in issuing a modified PN on NO3 with the warning that infants under 6 month old are not to drink the water or consume formula make with the water, and also a warning not to boil the water before consumption. Consensus was to call the water system operator (Darcy Porter) and have her contact Bill Goss on Monday for further guidance. Attempted to contact and speak with Darcy, but unable to. A voice mail was left for her (and Bill Goss) regarding the MCL and asking that she contact Bill on Monday, Feb 13. It appears another PN needs to be distributed before the end of the month. ACTION NEEDED: Operator to follow up with Bill Goss on 2/13/12. | ||
