| Details: | SUMMARY: Ecoli in well #2 DETAILS: Three of five additional source water samples had Ecoli and all five had total coliform. I contacted Silas and informed him a tier 1 boil notice is required for those service the receive inadequately treated, less that 4 log disinfections water. I did some quick calculations with some incomplete information provided by Silas and it does not appear that 4 log disinfection is met for the first connections. Silas mentioned that Melvin would be onsite tomorrow and would likely shutdown well #2 for now. The system gets most of the water from 23ll#1 and there is also 2 other emergency wills that would need source coliform test prior to using. I emailed Silas a copy of the Boil Public notice to use if they decide to keep well #2 active and I also sent him a copy of the disinfection verification form. I send a request for well construction evaluation to Tom Patee at the state and I mentioned to Solas that Micro Particulate Analysis testing may be required for well #2 ACTION NEEDED: Follow up on action taken by system operator and get copy of public notice if issued. Advise operator. | ||
