| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil Order due to Treatment Interruption DETAILS: David called to let DWP know that the city had issued a boil notice due to a treatment interruption. On Saturday 3/3 a power surge damaged the online chlorine analyzer, after which the chlorine concentration was measured by taking grab samples. On Monday 3/5 additional electrical problems damaged the chlorine feed pump and a boil notice was issued due to lack of chlorination treatment. The chlorine feed pump was replaced and is in operation as of Wed. 3/7, but it will take at least a couple days to re-establish a chlorine residual throughout the entire distibution system. A coliform sample must be collected before the boil notice can be lifted. ACTION NEEDED: System to re-establish chlorine residual throughout distribution system, collect coliform sample, repair online chlorine analyzer. | ||
