| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform alert DETAILS: Contacted David by phone to discuss the positive coliform bacteria we were informed of today. David reported that only one of the five temporary routine samples resulted in a positive. David reported that he had shock chlorinated the spring between the tests performed during late January and early February. The system continues to deliver water to consumers with no chlorine residual. Informed David that he shall remain on the temporary coliform sampling schedule of 5 samples per month until this matter is resolved and that he shall issue another public notice regarding the positive coliform test. A copy of the notice shall be sent to the this office and given to consumers. ACTION NEEDED: David was encouraged to explore the possibility of installing an inline chlorinator upstream of the entry point to create chlorine residual in the distribution system. David was reminded that any alterations would require formal plan review prior to making any modifications to the system. | ||
