| Details: | SUMMARY: Investigation of Priority Non complier (PNC) DETAILS: The system has a score of 22. Twenty of the points are from MCL violations for nitrate. The system treats for nitrate removal but has been having trouble with the nitrate removal treatment system of the past several months. The owner has been working with a company to try to solve the issue. They believe they have found the problem as a valve was open and allowing water to bypass the treatment media. They have corrected closed the valve. On 1/31/12 I was able to obtain a tier 1 public notice from the owner. The public notice was forwarded to the state on 2/1/12. Ken indicated that follow up sampling would be taken on Thursday the 2nd of Feb. Once we have follow up sample results we may be able to return to compliance the MCLs and bring the score below 11. ACTION NEEDED: Obtain follow up sample results and respond as necessary. | ||
