Details: | SUMMARY: Complaint - No water service DETAILS: Sarah called with questions after receiving copy of the boil water notice at 2:30 pm on 3/21. She has diabetic family members who need food and she has difficulty preparing food while being out of water. Complained that she has been out of water since noon on 3/20 and not getting a response from water system contacts at Timber. I mentioned I would call George Herr, system contact. I phoned George, and he will contact Sarah immediately and clarify with her where the system is in addressing the problem that lead to a loss in positive pressure and restoring service, and try to address her specific concerns. I reviewed steps to address reduced pressure situation with George. ACTION NEEDED: Timber WA to follow up on complaint, and to let DWP know as pressure, flushing and chlorine residuals are restored. I reminded George that DWP will need to be consulted after results come back from coliform sample, after pressure and residuals restored, prior to lifting boil water notice. George anticipates it may take a day or two at least to get off the boil notice. System will notify users when it is safe to use water without boiling. I forwarded OERS after hours # and directions to George. |
