Details: | SUMMARY: Peak hourly flow DETAILS: How can peak hourly flow be measured if flow meter upgradient of treatment? One option is to move the meter downgradient of storage. Another is assume flow meter reading is conservative when the contact chambers are overflowing. When contact chamber is not overflowing, record daily elevation of water in contact chamber, convert to volume used for the previous day, divide by 1440 min/day to get gallons per minute, multiply by a peaking factor of 5, and add this result to the flow meter value to get peak hourly flow.
