Details: | Note: This contact report includes information from multiple days and contacts from both email and phone. On November 9, 2020, Shannon from McNulty Water called and left a message regarding a customer who is elderly and having skin issues that might possibly coincide with arsenic water content, she says. She wanted to know what I recommend them to do. On November 10th, I attempted to call Shannon back, and I spoke with Robert Trotter from Hiland Water/McNulty Water PUD. When I reviewed the State records for McNulty Water PUD's arsenic results, all of the other sources and sample points show up as "non-detected" for arsenic, other than the Robinette well. Robert mentioned that none of the customers are connected directly to the ASR - aquifer storage and recovery zone which is connected to the Robinette well. They are only connected to a line from the Robinette Reservoir, Robert says, which combined the Millard, Robinette and Stone Road wells to dilute the water output below the MCL for arsenic. I followed up with an email asking both Robert and Shannon if the elderly customer in question is connected to that problematic Robinette well in any way (which goes to the Robinette Reservoir). I added that I would need more information before I could declare if the elderly customer is still susceptible to skin conditions from arsenic levels below the MCL. On November 12, Shannon replied via email saying that the customer is located on Ross Road, and not close to the Robinette Reservoir. Partially why it was questioned if the water contributed to her skin conditions was because her doctors were not able to determine the cause of her conditions. But the customer took herself to urgent care to get tested to see if the water was potentially the cause, according to Shannon. On November 16, Robert also replied via email saying that the customer is on the Millard/Stone/Blaha well side of the system, and therefore can't receive water from the Robinette Reservoir. |
