| Details: | SUMMARY: Required Giardia log inactivation DETAILS: Recent updating of the SWTR monthly report form resulted in confusion over the required Giardia log inactivation with which the new plant is credited. The old plant needed 1.0-log, but the presumed requirement for the new plant which has coagulation and flocculation through contact clarifiers is 0.5-log. Since the new plant is effectively conventional filtration, it is logical that it would have 2.5-log filtration credit and only need 0.5-log inactivation for Giardia. ACTION NEEDED: Check the files for mention in the plan review on the required log inactivation with chlorine. | ||
