Details: | SUMMARY: Routine coliform sample was positive DETAILS: Ron called because of the two recent routine coliform samples, one came back positive. He is taking the required repeats plus a triggered sample from each of the sources in use (well 7 & spring). He was unsure whether to mark both boxes - triggered" plus "assessment" - under the Source heading on the lab form, because he wants these to count for the once-a-year assessment sample as well. Checking the "triggered" box alone should do the trick, but Ill ask the database people if they have a preference. Also, we discussed how wells 6 (seasonal) and 8 (emergency) are depicted in the database. Both are currently listed as "Active", and that may mean a source sample would be required yearly from each. Will check with technical staff and DMCE on what the implications are for an Active versus Inactive supplemental source that is not necessarily used every year. ACTION NEEDED: Put Ron Wilke in touch with operator at Klamath Falls who can tell him about distribution sampling stations that will not freeze up in winter. I will change the emergency well (#8) to Inactive status on SDWIS. | ||
