Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up to positive Ecoli source sample DETAILS: Spoke to Anita and asked her to continue to use bottled or boiled water until we hear the results of the confirmation samples. Anita said the school district was out and fixed the chlorine pump. The system now had up to 5 chlorine residual. I told her they needed to back that sown and to keep it between 1-2. Anita called back lager in the day to let me know the school district called and told her the samples came back fine and they could use the water again. Betsy called the lab to confirm and the samples were no detect. I asked Anita to keep the residual between 1-2 and asked her to have someone check it once a day. 3/27/12 I worked with Betsy on the CT calculation and we came up with .2 as the minimum. In the past the 315 gallon tank used for contact time was considered a plug flow tank with a 70% baffling factor. Jay MacPherson was doubtful that it is plugged flow. Jay suggested keeping the level at 0.5 for now. The system will be cone with assessment monitoring in may and at that time we will recommend the system have a tracer study done. 32812 I spoke to Anita and told her to keep the residual at 0.5 minimum and they could use the water without boiling. I also spoke with Bonnie from the district and explained the same thing to her. I told both of them that someone needs to be checking the residual daily. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
