Details: SUMMARY: Treatment alternatives DETAILS: Discussed the different pathogens and the different treatment credits needed per pathogen. Reviewed virus-, Giardia-, and Cryptosporidium-required credits and the Bin system of LT2 for Cryptosporidium. Discussed residual disinfection. Reviewed disinfection in the form of chlorine, ozone, and UV light along with their respective pathogen-dependent treatment credits. Reviewed the filtration treatment catagories (conventional, direct, slow sand, diatomaceous earth, cartridge/bag, and membrane). Discussed source monitoring of E. coli for LT2 comliance.
