| Details: | SUMMARY: Released from Monthly Assessment Montitoring DETAILS: After E.coli was confirmed in the well during March 2011, water system was required to install chlorination, collect an MPA, and conduct monthly assessment monitoring for one year. Water system completed all monitoring. MPA indicated low risk for surface water influence and monthly assessment monitoring was absent for both total coliform and E.coli. Therefore all corrective action monitoring requirements are considered fulfilled and the water system can discontinue chlorination as there does not appear to be a public health threat. Should E.coli be confirmed in the well again, the water system should be required to submit a video log of the well casing to ensure that the well casing has not been compromised. ACTION NEEDED: Water system can remove chlorination and return to triggered source water monitoring. | ||
