| Details: | SUMMARY: Unapproved source follow up DETAILS: I called owner to follow up on the use of well L27184. The state sent Jean a letter on 2/15/12 stating the well was not approved for ruse and requested more information. Jean said she was not aware of the letter. I emailed her a copy of the letter. I also informed Jean that the RV park was cited on the last semi annual inspection by the health department for using an unapproved water source. The state is requiring the well to be reconstructed to meet standards or switch back to well MAR1366. Jean said they stopped using the well MAR1366 because they were pumping sand at certain tine during the year when a nearby farmer was using large volume of groundwater. She mentioned the farmer is not longer doing this. Jean is to contact me or the state as soon as they make a decision on their water source. I also informed Jean that we have had many complaints about water quality/clarity from customers. She said they cannot afford treatment for iron and manganese but were doing regulate flushing of the distribution lines to help reduce buildup. All required testing is being done and meeting standards. I asked Jean how many of the users at the park were year round residents. She said there were only 5 or 6 ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
