| Details: | SUMMARY: Transmission Line Break - Limited Boil Order DETAILS: 3/12/12 - A break in the transmission line that runs between the Smith Food well and town caused a loss of pressure for the nine customers served by the line. All are outside city limits. The break may have been caused by a pressure surge or water hammer when work was being done on the Smith Foods well. Repair parts are difficult to obtain for the 14-inch line. 3/15/12 - A second break was discovered and repaired. 3/16/12 - pressure is restored and the line has been chlorinated, but the homes are on a boil water order until the chlorine is flushed out and a passing coliform result is received. 3/22/12 - coliform sample collected. 3/23/12 - coliform sample tests absent for bacteria, boil order lifted for the nine homes.
