Details: SUMMARY: Operator inquired about need for SWS certification DETAILS: Operator phoned to see whether he needed to have the Small Water System certification. As the operator of a transient, non-community system on groundwater, the answer is no. He has taken the Basics for SWS operators course several times before, though as I explained it is not required training for him. I told him that course is also available online, which would save him hours of driving to the nearest classroom location. I showed him where to find the online course on our website, as well as where to find the coliform sampling plan template. ACTION NEEDED: None
