| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform 5/23/12 DETAILS: Don called on Friday 5/25 to report this sample result and ask for advice when to submit new samples as the lab is not customarily open to read results on Saturday for sample submitted on a Friday. I advised him to submit 4 repeat samples as soon as practical following the Memorial Day weekend. Discussed his belief that he likely contaminated the lid for the sample bottle. Because measurements of chlorine residual is sporadic, it was not known what a typical chlorine level would be in recent history. His intent was to shock chlorinate the system just to make sure any microbial contamination is destroyed. On 5/31/12 left message on follow up call to assure requirement to draw 5 temporary routine samples was required sometime in June 2012 ACTION NEEDED: 4 repeats ASAP 5 temporary routines in June. Measure and document chlorine residual daily. | ||
