Details:	SUMMARY: Spring Disinfection Assistance DETAILS: The Oak Grove Water Company owns and operates a community water system west of the City of Hood River. The water system serves 315 people through 124 connections. The source of the water is a spring which has a concrete, funnel-type spring box. The infiltration portion of the spring was rehabilitated in the 1990s, but the spring box has not been repaired. An inspection of the box revealed some degradation, although there have been no structural failures. HBH was contacted by James Nusrala with DWP and Ian Stromquist with Hood River County following coliform positives at the springs. The assistance would be to provide recommendations for disinfection methods for the spring box. HBH corresponded with DWP and County staff regarding the system situation and did some preliminary researched options on appropriate chlorination systems. ACTION NEEDED: Provide further assistance as requested.
