| Details: | SUMMARY: Response to SOC detect DETAILS: I spoke to Ben abou the 4/25/12 detect of di (2-ethyl hexyl phthalate) of 0.0017 mg/L, almost 3 times the detection level of 0.0006 mg/L, but below MCL of 0.006 mg/L. I explained that City needs to begin quarterly monitoring for constituent with a first sample during third quarter 2012. I explained compliance with the MCL is determined by a running annual average. Ben not aware of reason for detect as previous samples all non-detect, but may contact lab to follow up. ACTION NEEDED: City to begin quarterly monitoring for 2-ethyl hexyl phthalate 3rd quarter 2012. DWP to review results after 4 consecutive quarters for seasonal variability, compliance with the MCL or if frequency may be reduced given results reliably & consistently below MCL. DWP to offer support to City. | ||
