| Details: | SUMMARY: Phone inquiry about water system DETAILS: Mark called on 7/16/12 at 10 am to inquire about the smell of chlorine at his home from time to time at Black Mountain, and the operator certification requirements associated with any chemical addition. I relayed that DWP has no records that the system is chlorinating, or adding any treatment. I indicated that systems are normally approved to chlorinate continuously or not at all, but not intermittently. I explained the system is required to have a small water system operator who has attended the 8-hour DWP course, and that the system had several individuals who meet this requirement. I introducted the DWPs data on-line feature to Mark, and referred him to Amy Word, of DWPs Pendleton office, who has spoken with system representatives in the past. ACTION NEEDED: I followed up with a call to Amy to confirm that DWP has followed up with the water system on this phone call. | ||
