| Details: | SUMMARY: System in Discussions to Connect to City of Ontario Water Supply DETAILS: Spoke with park owner Bob Cook regarding plans to remedy the arsenic and nitrate contamination issue. Noted that the June 30, 2012 deadline in the administrative order has passed. Bob has been in communications with City of Ontario staff regarding extending a water line out to serve the park. This would require about 1500 feet of pipe to tie into the line that serves the golf course club house. A master meter for the park and a fire hydrant would also be installed. Spoke with city finance director Lisa Hansen at (541) 881-3242. In order for the city to serve water to the park, approval would need to be obtained first from the city public works committee and then from the full city council. Annexation into the city could possibly be a requirement. ACTION NEEDED: System owner to continue to pursue connecting the park to city water. | ||
