Details: | Emailed Susanne and Jeffrey- I am following up on the last pending significant deficiency that was noted on the December 2, 2019 sanitary survey at Gran Moraine. The deficiency is that chlorine is not measured and recorded as required. The requirements are to measure the free chlorine with the DPD test kit on a daily basis and record it. The test would need to be taken just after the two- 3,000 gallon tanks. It is important that we ensure there is some sort of chlorine residual in the tanks to ensure bacteria does not grow. If there is no chlorine when tested, then NSF approved chlorine will need to be added to the tanks to ensure the water remains safe while sitting in the tanks. This has been discussed multiple times, earlier this year, with Mr. Kee. Last I heard, several months ago, Mr. Kee was waiting for a response from the maintenance staff member on site to verify if the samples are being taken daily and recorded. I understand that Susanne is working through the plan review process for an alternate water source with Carrie Gentry, but until that is approved and up and going, we need to ensure the current system is in compliance. Can you please verify if the maintenance staff member is taking the daily chlorine readings and recording it? If not, I will need to send a formal letter stating that this significant deficiency is not being addressed. I appreciate your help in addressing this pending significant deficiency. Jeffrey responded that he would forward my request again. As of December 1, 2020 I have had no further response from the system. I will work on a failure to correct a significant deficiency letter. |
