| Details: | I spoke with the owner of this system and we discussed the most recent nitrate result that exceeded 50% of the MCL. For nitrate, 50% of MCL is the alert level. We discussed the potential health effects of chronic exposure to nitrate. Information regarding this information has been discussed with this system in the recent past. This system is currently on quarterly monitoring to assess the consistency of the nitrate result during different seasons. This quarterly monitoring will continue for a minimum of one year (4 tests) at which time the frequency may be revisited and a schedule reduction to annually will be explored. |
