| Details: | SUMMARY: arsenic treatment DETAILS: Spoke with Mike Brown today regarding a new Point of Use arsenic treatment device he installed at one faucet at the well pumphouse. The POU device is made by Aries filter works and is the HY-111-AS product ID. This device was installed to provide some temporary potable water for the park residences until a permanent treatment system can be installed. This POU has a flow totalizer set point that will automatically shut down when 3000 gallons are achieved or every 6 months, whichever occurs first. I originally told Mike Brown that plan review would be required for this POU device, however since this is just a temporary intall, at only one faucet, it wouldnt get approved thourgh plan review anyway because treatment is not installed at each connection nor is it a point of entry treatment system. I contact Mike Brown on 8/13/12 to inform him of this. ACTION NEEDED: install permanent arsenic treatment. | ||
